La Gallinella's Instant Polenta is a finely ground cornmeal which can be made into a creamy, hearty side dish in a matter of minutes! Stir in butter and grated parmesan, or even gorgonzola, into the hot polenta and serve as a base to any stewed, braised or roasted meat or poultry. For an even creamier polenta, one you can eat for breakfast, you should add some heavy cream towards the end of cooking, then garnish with honey, toasted almonds, fresh berries or jams. Or, simply pour the hot polenta into a sheet tray, cool, then cut into squares. Fry until brown and crispy, or bake/grill and top with caramelized onions, sauteed mushrooms and melted fontina cheese.
