The colorful exterior enamel of the Le Creuset Square Griddle is shock-resistant to prevent chipping and cracking.  The cooking surface is finished with a matte black enamel that eliminates the need for the traditional seasoning and maintenance of raw cast iron.

Specially formulated for high-surface temperature cooking, the cooking surface develops a natural patina over time.  It is ideal for searing steaks; the griddle can go straight from the stovetop into the oven to finish.  But you can also whip up pancakes, eggs, or anything else you might do on the stovetop.
